Duties
Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort.
Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems like Micros POS to ensure smooth seating operations.
Answer phone inquiries politely, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times.
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and special requests promptly.
Maintain cleanliness in the host stand area and ensure menus are tidy and available for guests.
Support guest service efforts by addressing guest concerns or questions with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Assist in managing guest flow during busy hours to reduce wait times and enhance overall experience.
Skills
Previous experience in hospitality or food service is highly desirable, especially in restaurant or hotel settings.
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, to interact clearly and courteously with guests and team members.
Solid customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest seating protocols.
A team player who is adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn about hospitality best practices.
