Reports to: General Manager
Job Status: Full time
Location: 599 William Ave, Greater Sudbury, ON P3A 5W3
Compensation: 50,000 to 52,000 Annually
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation, service, and food quality.
Ensure meals meet dietary, nutritional, and presentation standards.
Manage food inventory, ordering, and kitchen costs.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Supervise, schedule, and support cooks, servers, and kitchen staff.
Review staff timesheets and assist with training and performance management.
Assist with menu planning, special events, and resident dietary needs.
Prepare operational reports and collaborate with other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Services Management, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of culinary or kitchen management experience.
First Aid & CPR Certification.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and kitchen management systems.
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Nice to Have
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Experience in retirement living, long-term care, or hospitality.
Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
