Step into the role of Recovery Care Worker focused on addictions and mental health support. Provide non-medical care, oversee client activities, and facilitate harm reduction education across multiple sites.
Reporting to the Coordinator, this temporary position emphasizes safety and quality in all service aspects. You'll engage in supportive counseling, monitor behavioral health changes, and ensure thorough documentation. Ideal candidates will have experience with mental health issues and the ability to create a safe, organized workplace for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage non-medical withdrawal support for clients
• Monitor clients and document observations
• Facilitate harm reduction and educational groups
• Support clients with daily living activities
• Perform admission and discharge duties
Requirements:
• Certification in addiction counseling or equivalent
• Two years' experience working with substance use issues
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
• BC Driver's License for position requirements
• Understanding of community health resources
