Position Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working in a rapid-paced kitchen. Previous kitchen experience is an asset, along with a valid Food Handler's Certificate.

Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as directed by the kitchen team
Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Assist with preparing baked goods, frozen meal production, catering orders, and menu items as required
Receive, organize, and store deliveries following food safety standards
Monitor and rotate inventory using proper food storage practices
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
Support the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations





Qualifications
Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is an asset
Valid Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to complete course)
Knowledge of secure food handling and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
Ability to stand for extended periods
