The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is currently recruiting enthusiastic Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to join our skilled Aquatics team!

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the safety and instruction of Members and Guests using the pool at the JCC
First responder in case of an emergency and providing First Aid as needed throughout the facility
Passion for teaching swimming lessons and working with children and adults
Perform maintenance and related work, as required
Versatile schedule. Regular part-time hours are available. Most shifts will include a mix of instruction and lifeguarding duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
Lifesaving Swim Instructor
National Lifeguard (NL Pool Option)
Standard First Aid (within 2 years)
CPR C / AED (within 1 year)
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Over the age of 16

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a lifeguard, instructor or coach




Previous experience working with children & youth
Previous experience as a First Aid Attendant
LSI, Aquafit and/or other relevant certifications

Lifeguard rate $22/hour; Instructor rate $24/hour The successful candidate must clear a vulnerable sector criminal record check as a condition of employment.
