Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and repair gas appliances, piping, and systems according to safety standards and regulations
Conduct routine maintenance on boilers, HVAC systems, and other gas-powered equipment
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting
Perform welding and plumbing tasks necessary for system repairs or upgrades
Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and mechanical knowledge
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and logs for future reference
Skills
Proven experience with plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and HVAC equipment
Robust mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams accurately
Construction experience is a plus for understanding building codes and installation procedures
Mechanic experience related to appliance repair or machinery maintenance is highly desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
Valid licensing as a Gas Technician is required; additional certifications in appliance repair or construction are advantageous
