Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Greenhouse Worker to join our horticultural team. This role involves maintaining and supporting the growth workplace within our greenhouse facilities, ensuring healthy plant development and optimal conditions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Duties
Assist with planting, watering, and fertilizing plants using proper horticultural techniques
Operate irrigation systems and monitor water levels to ensure consistent plant hydration
Maintain greenhouse cleanliness and organization to promote healthy plant growth
Use hand tools and mechanical equipment for pruning, repotting, and other plant care activities
Perform heavy lifting of plants, soil, and supplies as needed to support daily operations
Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light levels, making adjustments as necessary
Support plant propagation efforts by sowing seeds and transplanting seedlings




Assist with pest control measures and disease management to protect plant health

Skills
Knowledge of horticulture practices and plant care techniques
Experience with irrigation systems and basic gardening tools
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping
Familiarity with gardening tools and equipment such as pruners, trowels, and soil mixers
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols in a greenhouse environment
