Postal worker / mail carrier responsible for organizing mail, delivering letters and small parcels along established routes, and handling related delivery duties.
Responsibilities
Organize mail by address and load into mailbags
Deliver letters, small parcels and other printed matter along established routes
Deliver telegrams, special delivery and express mail
Collect payment for cash-on-delivery (COD) service
Record delivery of registered mail
Leave notices indicating that items could not be delivered and the location where they can be picked up
Return undeliverable mail to the postal station
Qualifications
Some secondary school education is required
Two weeks to one month of training provided by Canada Post Corporation
Physical fitness is required for some occupations in this unit group
Can work long hours
Experience in related field
Compensation and Employment Details
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $25.67 - $30.00 per hour
