Perform critical rigging functions in a convention center environment while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed during events. Collaborate effectively with teams to achieve optimal results.
As a Rigging Technician, you will be responsible for gathering and organizing rigging tools, establishing safety measures, and providing ground support to teams. Your role is essential in overseeing safe operations and helping coordinate set-up with other trades, all while inspecting rigging components throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and prepare rigging equipment for events
• Connect hoists and secure hang-points effectively
• Assist teams in raising equipment and checking safety
• Report and escalate hardware issues quickly
• Conduct visual inspections of rigging hardware
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Minimum 500 hours of rigging experience required
• Qualified-Basic Rigging certification needed
• Valid lift certification and operation experience necessary
• Experience supervising rigging teams is preferred
