Become a key player in client care as an On Call Casual Program Assistant at the Phoenix Center. This role emphasizes providing essential support in daily living and life skills development.
As a Program Assistant, you will aid clients with personal care and social engagement under the supervision of the Program Manager. The position focuses on enabling clients to gain independence while fostering a supportive community environment. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring a secure living space.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients with hygiene and housekeeping tasks
• Administer medication and keep accurate progress records
• Organize client-centered recreational activities
• Engage in community resource identification for client support
• Maintain safety standards around the facility
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma
• Community Social Service certificate is preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in relevant fields
• First Aid/CPR certification required
• Successful completion of a criminal records check needed
