Become a key advocate for surgical quality as an NSQIP Surgical Quality Advocate. Promote safety initiatives and lead cooperative efforts to reduce perioperative complications.
This role involves a six-hour monthly commitment, engaging with the NSQIP Regional Team to identify strategies for quality enhancement. As an advocate for best practices, you will review surgical performance data, develop improvement projects, and attend vital NSQIP Collaborative meetings. Your work will directly impact surgical standards and patient safety across care sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Surgical Clinical Reviewer for data discussion
• Review and analyze NSQIP reports
• Create a quality improvement project each year
• Attend relevant summits and conferences
• Update local surgical leadership on project progress
Requirements:
• Active privileges, CMPA, and CPSBC Full are necessary
• Deep interest in surgical quality enhancements
• Proven ability to work collaboratively
• Experience with data analysis and project management
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
