ACSI is seeking hardworking Earthworks Labourers to support civil construction operations. This role involves assisting with excavation, grading, pipe installation, and general site work while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.

Operate responsibly by managing risk, safety, and environmental considerations across all our projects and surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with excavation, grading, and backfilling operations
Support pipe crews and underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm)
Perform general labour duties including shoveling, trenching, and site cleanup
Help with layout and grade support (working alongside grade person/survey crews)
Work safely around heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders)
Follow all site safety procedures, permits, and hazard assessments
Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized work area
Communicate with supervision and crew to complete daily tasks
Prepare and clean up work sites
Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Experience
WHMIS-15 Certificate
Previous experience in earthworks or civil construction
Experience with grading, excavation, or underground utilities considered an asset
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Willingness to follow direction and work as part of a crew
Safety-focused attitude and awareness of job site hazards
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Safety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) considered an asset
Survey or grade experience is an asset
Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg
Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments
Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
