Job Description
Toro Glasswall Inc. is expanding and hiring dependable assembly workers to join our production team in a unionized manufacturing environment. Each successful candidate will be assigned to a dedicated department, allowing you to build skill depth and consistency in your area.
Multiple Positions Available (Glass, Panels, Vents, Prep, Frame Departments) for the following shift: 4:30pm - 3:00am Monday to Thursday.
Position Overview
As an Assembly Worker, you will perform hands‑on general labour and assembly duties. You’ll work with materials, tools, and components to support daily production and ensure products meet Toro Glasswall’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly work such as measuring, fitting, fastening, and performing quality checks
Perform general labour tasks including material handling, staging, and maintaining a clean work area
Use hand tools and power tools
Consistently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
Read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings (asset)
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe workplace
Qualifications
Experience in a heavy or industrial manufacturing environment is required
Experience within the window and/or door manufacturing industry is a strong asset
Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods
Comfortable using hand tools ; familiarity with power tools is an asset
Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings is an asset
Good English communication skills (verbal and written) required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
Willingness to work within a unionized workplace
Compensation: $22.60 per hour (plus $1.25 per hour shift premium)
