We are looking to fill the full-time summer seasonal position of Bike Mechanic at Fernie Alpine Resort . Reporting to the Retail & Rentals Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous bike shop experience, customer service experience, and will be a team player. You Will

Maintain the working order, quality, and safety standards of our Scott rental bike fleet

Bike Assembly, inspection, repair, and do complete overall of fleet bikes and guests’ bikes

Working knowledge of bicycle components and repairs

Directly responsible for generating bike parts and accessory sales

Continuous monitoring of inventory, tools, and parts, write draft orders for approval then place parts orders

Keeping records on all repairs and maintenance in accordance with company standards

Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workplace at all times

Receive shipments & restock inventory

Provide assistance with renting bikes and equipment

Provide excellent customer service as a priority

Abide, maintain, and contribute to RCR Policies, Safety Management Program, Covid-19 policies





Miscellaneous other duties as required

You Have

Previous experience in a similar role in a professional environment

Extensive knowledge of bicycle components, diagnosis, repairs, maintenance

Knowledge of fork and disc brake maintenance

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment as well as being able to work as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good time management and problem-solving skills

Competitive wage: $21.50 p/hour
