The Silk Road Spice Merchant is a Calgary-based company that specializes in herbs and spices from around the world. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, professional person to fill a permanent, part time, retail position at our retail location in Edmonton (10818 82nd (Whyte) Avenue).

The position is for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am - 5:30pm.

You will
learn all about our spices and blends (don't worry — we'll train you)
participate in general production duties and store maintenance such as jarring and bagging spices, filling orders, restocking products, cleaning, counting inventory, etc.
provide stellar customer service by chatting with customers about food, talking about our products, making recommendations, and processing sales

You have:
exceptional attention to detail and a positive attitude
a valuable knowledge of food and cooking with a passion for furthering that knowledge
the capacity to work unsupervised and take responsibility for your productivity




the ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
the ability to be on your feet for most of the day
