Experience real veterinary practice with the NVA Canada Veterinary Technician Practicum in Squamish. This program immerses you in patient care, laboratory tasks, and essential communications in a welcoming setting. Designed for final-year veterinary technician students, this practicum lasts from two to eight weeks.
It provides exposure to crucial field areas like surgical assistance, anesthesia, and radiology, allowing students to refine their skills while working alongside experienced DVMs and RVTs. Participants will receive a stipend to assist with travel expenses. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with veterinarians and RVTs in patient care
Conduct laboratory procedures and manage sample processing
Aid anesthesia and surgical efforts as required
Contribute to radiology imaging services and analysis
