Our client, a small publicly traded technology company, is seeking a Director of Finance to join the organization on a 12+ month maternity leave contract. The role is located in Pickering but will only require someone to be onsite once a month.

Responsibilities - Lead all day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end, year-end, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and public company reporting requirements.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
Supervise a small finance team, including a Payroll Administrator and a Senior Accountant.
Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight and strategic support.
Identify prospects to improve financial processes and reporting
Coordinate annual audits and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications - CPA or other recognized accounting designation.
Robust controllership experience with full-cycle accounting expertise.
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a lean organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
