Tackpoint is a precision bearing manufacturer designing and producing high-performance products for aerospace, space, defense, and oil & amp; gas applications. Our parts operate in some of the most demanding environments in the world, where precision and reliability are critical. These applications include record-setting drilling motors, deep-sea exploration suits, search and rescue camera gimbals, the Canadarm2, and the Canadarm3.
We run state of the art CNC equipment with advanced process controls, enabling consistent, high-tolerance production. Our shop houses the most accurate Coordinate Measuring Machine in Canada, a top of the line Super Precision lathe, an ultra-high speed 5-axis mill, automated finishing, rotary grinding and more. As we expand, we are hiring skilled operators who want to work on challenging, high-value components using premium equipment.
Open Positions
Hard Turning Finishing Operator
Shift
Night Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Regular Overtime Available
Added Compensation
$2/hour night shift premium for a combined pay range of $32-$40/hour

What You'll Work On
Precision bearing components for aerospace, space, and defense systems, and oil & amp; gas
Tight-tolerance parts with repeatable, controlled processes
Advanced CNC lathes (Fanuc and Okuma controls, Nakamura and Okuma equipment)
What You'll Do
Operate CNC lathes in a high-precision production environment
Perform setups, tool offsets, and adjustments (based on experience)
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Maintain strict quality and tolerance requirements
Follow structured, well-defined machining processes

Requirements
CNC machine operation experience (lathe experience preferred)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
Robust attention to detail
Reliable and able to work independently
