Kickstart your career in respiratory therapy as an Employed Student Respiratory Therapist with Fraser Health. This role allows you to gain paid, hands-on experience while attending Thompson Rivers University.

Ideal for students who have completed Level 1 of their respiratory therapy training, this position offers direct patient interaction and collaboration with skilled respiratory professionals. You will develop essential skills needed for effective respiratory care, making a difference in patients' lives by providing support from September 2026 for Level 1 and November/December 2026 for Level 2 students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct health assessments and report findings
• Work with respiratory therapy and care teams
• Accurately document patient health statuses




• Notify relevant parties of any patient status changes
• Assist in planning and evaluating quality patient care

Requirements:
• Successful completion of Level 1 midterm competencies
• Enrollment in an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Certification in Basic Life Support
• Valuable verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to think critically and prioritize tasks
