Become a pivotal part of UBC's Chan Centre as a Stage Technician, ensuring seamless technical execution for events. This role involves staging, lighting, and audio-visual operations.
As a Stage Technician, your main responsibilities include assembling and operating essential stage equipment while responding to the unique demands of each event. With a minimum of three years of experience and a Stage Craft diploma, you will reinforce UBC’s commitment to high-quality, diverse, and inclusive event presentations. Maintaining safety standards is critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and configure staging according to client requirements
• Operate and set up lighting and audio-video systems
• Act as stage door person when required
• Support equipment loading and unloading processes
• Ensure safe execution of all duties
Requirements:
• High school graduation required
• Diploma in Stage Craft or equivalent experience
• Three years of direct related experience
• Knowledge of technical equipment and safety practices
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends
