Job Description
Canada Post is an exciting place to work! As a temporary, on‑call delivery agent (also known as a letter carrier), you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels on time. This role involves preparing deliveries, driving a Canada Post postal vehicle, and delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle throughout your route.

What Will You Do

Start your day at the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.

Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.

Spend the majority of your shift outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle to customers on your route.

Return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.

Qualifications





A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a secure driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required).

Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.

Ability to work in all types of weather.

Availability to be on‑call.

Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.

Additional Experience That Helps

Customer service experience.

Experience making deliveries or working as a driver.
