Key Responsibilities
Conduct timber cruising activities in outdoor and camp-based settings to provide accurate data for project and client deliverables.
Collaborate with our resource professionals to ensure the success of Natural Resource Management projects.
Mentor / Train new cruisers and compassmen.
Uphold effective communication and a strong work ethic, essential to the role's success.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience as a BC Timber Cruiser, preference will be given to candidates with an ATC designation.
High level of physical fitness and mental tenacity.
Sound working knowledge of computers, cruising-related software, such as Compmate, Cruisemate and Cruise Comp, and equipment.
Proficient navigation and map-reading skills.
Flexibility towards camp shifts.
Experience working around trucks, helicopters, float planes, and ATVs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid class 5 driver's license.
Assets
Experience completing Waste and residue surveys
Experience in Coastal Terrain and Coastal Cruising
Possessing a BC Scalers License
RPF/RFT eligible or currently an ATE or ATC
Experience in Timber Valuation
