Cashier (Full time) We are looking for friendly, motivated people who enjoy helping customers and working as part of a team. This posting represents a current chance at Giant Tiger.
Responsibilities Ensure a high level of customer service at the checkouts.
Accurately record customer transactions in the electronic cash register, mainline, and self‑checkout systems.
Replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
Follow health and safety policies and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout work area.
Follow loss‑prevention best practices.
Ensure compliance with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery.
Qualifications Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule A typical full‑time schedule consists of day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends, with a total of 35–40 hours weekly. A part‑time schedule, if applicable, includes a mix of days, evenings, and weekends up to 24 hours weekly.
Physical Demands Stand and/or walk; bend, twist,



and squat; lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.); perform tasks requiring firm grasping and repetitive hand motions; reach above shoulder height and below waist level; operate equipment, including using a ladder.
