Job Details
The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education invites applications for BUS DRIVERS for the Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education encompassing Colchester, East Hants, Pictou, and Cumberland Counties (Cobequid, Celtic, Nova and Chignecto Families of Schools).

Type of Positions

Casual on an as needed basis, with no guaranteed hours of work

Run Times

Morning pick‑up and drop‑off of students: approximately 6:30 am – 9:30 am

Afternoon pick‑up and drop‑off of students: approximately 1:45 pm – 4:45 pm

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of Grade 12 high school diploma or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent Diploma (GED)

Must hold a valid driver’s license,



Class 2B with Air Certification

Provide a satisfactory Driver Abstract (obtained from the Registry of Motor Vehicles), as applicable

Closing Notes
If needed, prospective candidates will be required to successfully complete the Driver Training Program conducted by Pupil Transportation staff before commencing employment in any Bus Driver position. Successful applicants will need to provide a Child Abuse Registry Check and a Criminal Records Check prior to commencing employment.

Note: Location of school bus parking as determined by the Centre for Education, bus runs/routes, and assignment of additional duties are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the employer.
