We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a 3-month contract basis and support key accounting and financial reporting activities.

Position Summary The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with Canadian accounting standards, and support month-end and year-end close processes. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is ideal for a hands-on accounting skilled who can quickly contribute in a energetic setting.

Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury activities.
Support budgeting, forecasting,



and variance analysis.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Ensure accurate GST/HST filings and statutory reporting.
Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls.
Collaborate with operational leaders to provide financial insights.
Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience
Experience in transportation, logistics, construction, industrial services, or similar industries is considered an asset.
Experience supporting audits and multi-entity financial reporting.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid work model with a combination of remote and on-site work as required.

3-month contract position with potential extension based on business needs.
