Main Responsibilities
Adhere to all Safety, Environmental and project requirements
Provide geomatic services
Gain hands-on survey experience and be part of an exciting project that is unique to Western Canada
Aid the survey team in timely and accurate completion of surveys - set up, clean, calibrate and remove equipment
Work outside in all types of weather, sometimes at-heights or in steep terrain
Complete reports and follow up, aid in Computer-assisted drafting and technical programs
Complete daily survey tasks as assigned by your crew chief
Set up operation of conventional survey and GPS systems
Prepare accurate and timely field notes
Clean, calibrate and maintain survey equipment
Requirements
A high school graduate with a minimum of one year of previous experience, post-secondary training in an applicable field, preferred.
A clear, concise communicator with excellent organizational and follow up skills
Computer savvy and well-versed in MS Office suite. Survey-specific programs experience an asset.
Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
