Workforce Inc. is seeking dedicated and motivated Core Logging Geologists to assist our clients remote exploration project. This role will primarily be focused on the interpretation and logging of daily drill core as well as other duties typically encountered in day-to-day core shack operations.

Responsibilities:
Geological logging and sampling of diamond drill core
Collect geological data for the purpose of ore interpretation and reserve and
resource calculations
Communicate changes in ore interpretation to geology department
Carry out specific accountabilities as assigned by the Project Managers
Frequent lifting up to 34 kg to waist is required
Assisting in assuring the quality control and quality assurance of samples
Monitoring and evaluating geological and assay data quality
Ensuring geological data is collected to specified standards and QA/QC protocol is followed and drill logs are error free and validated
Complete field visits to drill sits to check drill site locations and ensure drill and exploration programs are conducted to high standards and samples are collected and transported to the assay lab efficiently
Aid in completing weekly KPI’s, including assigned drillhole tracking and core logging related tasks
Monitor the work and performance of core technicians
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science in Geology
Understanding of geological settings, deposit models, and ore-forming process as it pertains to the latest concepts of gold deposit environments
A commitment to safety, environment, and community
Effective communication and organization skills
Ability to manage a wide variety of projects and timelines to meet tight time restraints
Computer skills in Microsoft Applications, industry-standard digital logging and database entry
The capability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative, and energetic environment is critical
Valid G Class Driver’s Licence or equivalent and own reliable transportation
Pay Rate: $38-$45 commensurate upon prior experience
Schedule: 14 on/14 off, 12-hour shifts (meals & accommodations provided)
