What You’ll Need No degree, certificate or diploma required
2 years to less than 3 years of carpentry experience




Ability to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes
Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials
Experience building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
Ability to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Supervisory skills to oversee other workers
Ability to estimate costs and materials
Experience maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments
