Work as a Part Time Home Care Support Worker with Housing Services, providing essential aid to residents facing homelessness. This role emphasizes harm reduction and participant well-being.
In this 0.4 FTE position, you will report to the Manager and support individuals in their transition to housing. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, managing medications, and developing supportive initiatives. Leverage your skills in crisis management while fostering supportive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize move-ins for community members at housing
• Perform regular cleanliness and safety checks
• Aid in medication management protocols
• Create and implement supportive engagement programs
• Respond to emergency situations promptly
Requirements:
• Experience in human services, particularly with mental health
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary workplace
• Knowledge of harm reduction and related practices
• Relevant certifications in CPR and mental health first aid
