Summary- Position Title: Associate Category Manager- Department: Supply Chain- Status: Full time/Permanent- Reports to: Director of Procurement- Location: Mississauga, ON (On site, with 5% travel if needed)- Base Compensation : $60,000 to $75,000- AIP Eligibility: You will be eligible to participate in company bonus plan. This includes working with suppliers and other teams to make sure we get the best deals and high-quality products. The role involves analyzing data, negotiating with vendors, and finding ways to save costs. This is on site and in person role.Key Responsibilities:Sourcing Materials:- Develop plans to get the best materials and services at the best prices.- Look at market trends to spot opportunities and potential risks.- Find and evaluate suppliers to make sure they meet quality and cost standards.- Work with teams like R&D and production to align strategies with company goals.Vendor Relationships:- Build strong relationships with suppliers to make sure materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.- Track supplier performance to ensure they’re meeting expectations.- Conduct reviews and audits to find areas for improvement.- Help suppliers improve their processes to work better with the company.Negotiation:- Negotiate prices, delivery times,



and payment terms with suppliers.- Develop strategies to get the best deals for the company.- Prepare contracts and agreements that follow company rules.- Resolve any issues with suppliers quickly and efficiently.Cost Savings:- Find ways to reduce costs and increase savings.- Analyze spending data to come up with cost-cutting strategies.- Work with finance and other teams to track savings and performance.Recipe to success:- A bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management.
