Duties
Assist with daily herd management tasks including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health and behavior
Support the cleaning, maintenance, and operation of farm machinery and equipment used in herd care and feed delivery
Help with the protected handling and movement of cattle using appropriate techniques and farm machinery
Perform routine inspections of farm facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of equipment
Support heavy lifting tasks involved in feed handling, bedding management, and equipment setup
Assist with record-keeping related to herd health,

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during milking times, feeding routines, and general farm activities

Skills
Mechanical knowledge to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain farm machinery effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices
Experience or familiarity with farm machinery such as feed mixers, tractors, or milking equipment is highly desirable
Solid physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, or lifting throughout the workday
Valuable communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
Willingness to learn about animal husbandry practices and farm safety protocols
