Join the Airdrie Avalanche as an Athletic Trainer for the 2026-27 season, focused on game coverage. This role includes attending all games to support athlete health and safety. As part of the team, you'll provide essential medical assistance during games, manage injuries, and coordinate emergency responses.
Communication is key, ensuring the coaching staff and families are informed of athlete conditions. You'll also be responsible for organizing medical supplies and accompanying the team to away games as needed. Key Responsibilities:
Provide medical and first aid coverage during games
Assess and manage athlete injuries effectively
Create and implement emergency action plans
Relay injury information to coaches and families
Keep medical supplies organized and ready Requirements:
Certification in Athletic Therapy, Sports Therapy, or related
Current First Aid and CPR certifications required
Preferred experience with hockey teams
Solid communication and decision-making skills
