Responsibilities
meal preparation
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes according to established standards.
Cook menu items accurately and consistently, maintaining high quality and presentation standards.
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety regulations.
Sanitary Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, utensils, and cooking equipment, adhering to health regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
Assist with deliveries

Skills
Proven experience in food service, restaurant or other LTC home environment with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.




Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to serve guests with professionalism, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
Familiarity with cooking methods, meal preparation, and kitchen equipment operation.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within the team.

Grade 12 diploma
a current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate
