Serving customers in the Deli Counter of a Retail Grocery store this position requires a person with strong customer service skills to serve and assist customers purchasing a variety of meats.

:
Provides customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions
determine type & quantity of product desired by customer
advise customer on specific product if requested, discuss quality
prepare product for customer (weigh & package)
assist in display of product in deli counter
Complies with safety rules and protected food handling rules
help to clean meat counter
work in co-operation with other employees in a team environment
maintain a good rapport with customers, co-workers; provide assistance when necessary

Requirements
Customer service skills
Good communication skills
Second language would be an asset
Meat slicer operation experience
Ability to work in a busy, hectic setting
Excellent personal hygiene
Ability to follow the General Safety Rules and Food Safety Rules
Some minor lifting required
