Position Details - Position Title: Loss Prevention Officer - Employment Type: Full time - Organization: Gibraltar Mine - Location: Williams Lake, BC - Reporting Relationship: Coordinator, Loss Prevention - Salary Range: $69,800 to $87,400 Role Overview The Loss Prevention Officer contributes to a safe, secure, and healthy mine site by providing emergency medical response, monitoring site security, and supporting health and safety compliance. Core Responsibilities - Provide Level 3 First Aid to all employees, contractors, and visitors at the mine.

- Facilitate drug and alcohol testing.
- Monitor, control and record all incoming and exiting visitors, contractors, and suppliers while enforcing site policies and procedures.
- Present safety meeting topics for departments sitewide.
- Conduct workplace monitoring sampling as directed by the Health and Safety Coordinator.
- Participate and attend practices as a member of the Mine Rescue / Emergency Response Teams.
- Assist Coordinator with medical surveillance program.
- Perform regular inspections of fire extinguishers.
- Assist with incident investigations, reports, and tracking of incident reports.




- Maintain an inventory of standard and specialized personal protective equipment at the Security Desk.
- Maintain first aid supplies and equipment.

- Facilitate the site orientation for suppliers and visitors.

Education & Experience - OFA Level III First Aid or equivalent.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies - A valid Class 5 driver's license.

- Basic knowledge of fire protection systems, fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
- Strong computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work shift work in a variety of environmental conditions.
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Experience in mine rescue would be considered an asset.
