Job Description
A Day in the Life:

FOREST NURSERY WORKER

We are currently seeking to fill an existing vacancy on our team.

PRT Armstrong is looking for seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to help with our upcoming cone picking work starting on July 27, 2026 until work is completed, anticipated to be near the end of August 2026.

If you want a physical, fast‑paced outdoor job that makes a positive environmental impact, this is for you! Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the forest seedling nursery activities,



work independently and efficiently. No specific work experience is needed – we’ll provide full training.

Your Role & What You’ll Do

You’ll work as part of a supportive team under the guidance of a Nursery Manager. Your main duties will involve:

Supporting tree seedling production in greenhouses and outdoor areas.

Learning about forest nursery activities.

Working independently and efficiently.

Committing to quality and safety in a safe work environment.

Start Date: July 2026

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary information: $ 18.92/HOUR and transitioning to piecework with greater earning potential

Qualifications

What YOU bring to the table

Reliable transportation to get to the PRT Armstrong site daily

Interested in and able to work in all types of outdoor environmental conditions.

Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8‑hour work shift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly through the entire shift.

Positive manual dexterity and eyesight.

A team‑oriented personality with a positive attitude.

A desire to learn and contribute to forest regeneration.
