As a casual Shelter Resource Worker, you will be directly involved in assisting adults facing homelessness and experienced challenges. This role calls for conducting guest intakes, orientations, and establishing connections with public service agencies to enhance support. Your role is vital to creating a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance and support to guests in the shelter
• Identify and share community resources
• Interview guests and ensure safety standards
• Document records and maintain data accurately
• Support recent employees in their onboarding
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or relevant certification
• Two years of recent experience in a related field
• Understanding of community resources
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required
