The Food Service (Nutrition) Supervisor in an acute care setting oversees daily patient food service operations to ensure safe, timely, and accurate meal delivery aligned with prescribed diets and clinical requirements. This role provides direct supervision to food service staff, coordinates tray line and distribution activities, and ensures compliance with infection control, food safety, and dietary standards.
Responsibilities Monitor meal accuracy and quality; ensure adherence to therapeutic diets; conduct audits for tray accuracy; and implement process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and reduce waste.
Collaborate with dietitians, nursing staff, and other clinical teams to ensure patient dietary needs are met.
Provide staff training, performance management, scheduling support, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Lead in a fast-paced food service environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and service excellence.
Qualifications Valid CSNM membership required.
Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a rapid-paced hospital food service setting.
