The Pay rate for this role is $24.96/hour.

Job Summary The Machine Operator will report to the Production Supervisor and focus mainly on cutting and bending pipe based on product specifications while working on the day shift. On-the-job training is provided, so experience is not essential.
Location 6810 Invader Crescent, Mississauga, ON L5T 2B6
Work Schedule 12‑hour Continental Day shift (7:30a.m. – 7:30p.m.; 7 shifts bi‑weekly)
Key Responsibilities Plan and layout work assignments and accomplish them with maximum efficiency.
Operate cutting saws, and set up and operate automatic and manual pipe bending machines in the department.
Control proper regrind sorting and management of regrind materials.
Operate strapping equipment and air nailers.
Pack products as per packaging specifications.
Perform operator quality inspection checks.
Maintain housekeeping and 5’s around the area and machines.
Perform necessary administrative functions related to the position.
Support other capacities as directed by the direct supervisor.
Follow all plant health, safety, environmental, and quality policies by working safely and responsibly.
Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned.
Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of health and safety practices is necessary.
Basic math skills including geometry and fractions.




Ability to solve sophisticated problems using sound problem‑solving techniques and good judgment based on previous practices and precedence.
Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and adhere to instructions diligently.
Flexibility to work a 12‑hour continental shift schedule (7 days bi‑weekly).

Working Conditions The incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in a plant environment requiring considerable physical labour, including lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects, standing, and walking for the majority of work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels, and the use of equipment such as sharp blades and presses. The role requires a moderate level of sensory attention and involves occasional unanticipated workflow, bringing moderate stresses. The incumbent must understand, respect, and adhere to the workplace health and safety rules and regulations.
