Overview
Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Degree. Temporary: Full time position located in Regina. The primary goal is to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of youth, young adults and adults with severe and persistent mental illness, seeking help for addiction or addiction-related issues.

Responsibilities

Assessment and screening of clients.

Individual and group counseling.

Case management and educational sessions.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor of Chemical Dependency

Degree in Addiction Counseling

Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Registered Nurse)

Experience

1 year of experience working with a concurrent disorder population in a community setting.

Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge of the development model of recovery (SMRS).

Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling.

Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery Services.





Knowledge of how addictions impact the individual, community and families.

Familiarity with community programs/resources required for psycho-social rehabilitation.

Promote healthy practices and outcomes for clients.

Salary: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Degree $34.509 to $42.199.
