Guest Services Lead Hand - Winter 2026/27
Compensation Information: $22.45 per hour
Physical Requirement: Light; work activities involve handling loads up to 10kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.
Skills you bring with you:
Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Highly developed guest service skills, with the ability to assess guest needs and promote resort products and services.
Friendly, patient, and professional when interacting with a diverse range of guests and colleagues.
Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example, foster teamwork, and support colleagues in delivering exceptional guest service.

Organized and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenges or resolving guest concerns.
Good knowledge of workplace safety practices, including current WorkSafe BC standards.
Strong cash-handling skills and attention to transactional accuracy.
Familiarity with the local resort and surrounding area, or a willingness to actively learn and share that knowledge.
Experience working in the mountain resort industry, including completion of a full season at a ski resort.
Experience acting as a shift lead or providing operational support to a team is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
Previous experience selling ski resort products, rentals, and activities.
Customer service or sales training, or equivalent experience in a high-volume guest service environment.
Demonstrated experience managing cash transactions, reconciling sales and performing daily cash-outs.
Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing support to maintain service standards.
Serve as a role model for the front-line team members by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork and a commitment to service excellence on every shift.
Act as the operational lead during assigned East Village Centre shifts, overseeing daily operations, ensuring Nordic rental equipment is properly maintained, and coordinating the waxing of rental skis.
Maintain organized and efficient work processes, including managing email folders and ensuring follow-ups are tracked and assigned appropriately.
Ensure the Guest Services Online Chatbot is actively monitored, report any issues or inaccurate information to Guest Services Supervisors, and assist guests directly when required.
Serve as the communication liaison between front-line staff and Guest Services Supervisors.
Support consistent communication across the team by confirming weekly updates are reviewed by all staff and providing feedback or suggestions for additional topics as needed.
Deliver outstanding guest experiences by providing efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable service across all communication channels while promoting resort products and services.
Accurately process transactions using the RTP POS system, including handling cash, managing floats and balancing sales to system reports.
