The Sapphire Room at Crown Mansion Boutique Hotel in Qualicum Beach has an excellent chance for a detailed, passionate, and creative individual to join our fine dining culinary team. You must have a passion for food and love working in a kitchen setting, always putting quality first. This position offers flexibility and requires the individual to be pro-active, with the ability to multi-task, take direction, and sometimes work independently. Job Duties Include:
Assist with basic line prep.
Hot and cold line with quality and efficiency taking top priority.
Prepare and cook individual dishes or entire meals.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area.
Make sure daily cleaning jobs are completed.
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.




Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of all food preparation, cooking equipment, and procedures.
Assist Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen duties, such as menu planning, inventory, mentoring and quality control.

Qualifications:
Previous experience is a must.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
