General Crane is seeking a registered second-year Apprentice Welder to support its shop operations. This is a hands-on position involving grinding, buffing, material preparation, use of power tools, general shop cleanup and welding tasks appropriate to the apprentice’s current skill level.

Duties:
Grind, buff and prepare metal components
Safely operate grinders, drills and other power tools
Perform welding tasks appropriate to second-year apprenticeship training
Assist journeyperson welders and other shop personnel
Move, organize and prepare materials
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE

Required:
Welding, mechanical or electrical experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skill
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Class 5 Graduated License
Driver's Abstract (may be requested)
