About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with a solid background working for a General Contractor. This role is responsible for leading the preconstruction process on commercial renovation and institutional projects, from design review through final bid submission and project handoff.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, bid packages, RFIs, and value engineering recommendations.
Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to identify project scope, risks, and phasing requirements.
Conduct site visits and evaluate existing conditions for renovation projects.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, evaluate quotations, and negotiate pricing.
Support project teams with change order pricing and project handoffs.
Utilize contemporary estimating software and AI tools to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications




5+ years of estimating experience working directly for a General Contractor.
Solid experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, government, or light industrial renovation projects.
Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX, ProEst, Sage, or similar, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. PMP or Gold Seal certification is considered an asset.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
