Guest Services Nordic Lead Hand - Winter 2026/27
Compensation Information: $22.45 per hour

Physical Requirement: Light; work activities involve handling loads up to 10kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Skills you bring with you:

Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Highly developed guest service skills, with the ability to assess guest needs and promote resort products and services.

Friendly, patient, and professional when interacting with a diverse range of guests and colleagues.

Self‑motivated, dependable, and detail‑oriented, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example, foster teamwork, and support colleagues in delivering exceptional guest service.

Respectful, reliable, and punctual team player.





Organized and able to manage multiple priorities while working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenges or resolving guest concerns.

Good knowledge of workplace safety practices, including current WorkSafeBC standards.

Familiarity with Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, the local resort and surrounding area, or a willingness to actively learn and share that knowledge.

Experience working in the mountain resort industry, including completion of a full season at a ski resort.

Experience with Nordic ski rentals, equipment maintenance, or experience Nordic skiing is considered an asset.

Experience acting as a shift lead or providing operational support to a team.

Post‑secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.

Previous experience selling ski resort products, rentals, lessons and activities.

Customer service or sales training, or equivalent experience in a high‑volume guest service environment.

Demonstrated experience managing cash transactions, reconciling sales and performing daily cash‑outs.

Provide operational support to Guest Services locations across the resort.





Serve as a role model for the front‑line team members by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork and a commitment to service excellence on every shift.

Provide guidance and support to front‑line team members by assisting with questions, problem‑solving and daily operational needs.

Assist with seasonal setup, organization, inventory counts and end of season pack‑down of East Village Centre.

Serve as the communication liaison between front‑line staff and Guest Services Supervisors.

Deliver outstanding guest experiences by providing productive, courteous, and knowledgeable service across all communication channels while promoting Nordic products, lessons, rentals, snowshoe rentals, resort products and services.

Fit guests with Nordic ski and snowshoe equipment, book Nordic lessons, maintain Nordic rental equipment, including waxing rental skis, perform routine equipment inspections, and monitoring equipment conditions.

Accurately process transactions using the RTP POS system, including handling cash, managing floats and balancing sales to system reports.

Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the East Village Centre, Guest Services offices, Nordic rental area, personal workstations and common areas.

Monitor and maintain adequate office supply levels and notify the Guest Services Supervisors when items require ordering.
