About the Role
We are currently looking for a Bus Driver for our Out of School Care program at our Seton location in Calgary. Candidates should have prior experience driving a school or daycare bus, and must currently hold a Class 2 driver’s license with an “S” endorsement. A Level 1, 2, or 3 Alberta Child Care Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain it). The role requires good driving skills, experience transporting children, and a clean driver’s abstract. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable, fluent in English, and able to work well with children. Professionalism and responsibility are essential.



Candidates must have a current criminal record check and first‑aid certification or be willing to obtain these items upon hire.

Key Responsibilities

Driving groups of children to and from school throughout the day.

Supervising during pick‑ups and drop‑offs.

Actively engaging with and supervising school‑age children during field trips and at the centre.

Cultivating positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Adhering to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Active Start's policies and procedures to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

Class 1 or 2 driver’s license with an “S” endorsement to drive the bus with a clean driver’s abstract .

Prior childcare/daycare experience is an asset.

Level 1, 2 or 3 Child Care Certification (already obtained or willing to enroll).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Skilled, adaptable, and fluent in English.

Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations (preferred).
