CHEP Positive Food Inc. is seeking a collaborative, community‑minded Community Markets Program Coordinator to support dignified access to fresh, nutritious food in Saskatoon.

Working with the Community Markets Outreach Coordinator and the CHEP team, this role coordinates daily operations of CHEP's market at Station 20 West while supporting community engagement, volunteers, evaluation, and program improvement.

Responsibilities

Coordinate market operations, inventory, receiving, product quality, merchandising, customer service, and upkeep of a welcoming, accessible space.

Build relationships with customers and community members; gather feedback; promote the market; and support Pay It Forward and partnerships.

Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers.

Maintain databases and accurate records; track outcomes, sales, coupons, and community feedback.

Support surveys, focus groups,



impact measurement, and funder reporting.

Complete cash reconciliation, ordering, and administration.

Work across CHEP programs to improve systems and strengthen food access.

The ideal candidate is organized, relationship‑focused, adaptable, and comfortable balancing hands‑on operations with administration and program development. They are committed to dignity, equity, accessibility, and community‑led food access.

Qualifications

Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Able to work on‑site and lift up to 50 lb.

Available for occasional evenings or weekends.

Able to maintain accurate and confidential records.

Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Experience in community development, food security, retail, volunteer coordination, evaluation, databases, or non‑profit work is an asset.

Food Safe certification and knowledge of Saskatoon's communities are also assets.
