SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience within the food industry, preferably dairy.
Must possess an Ontario and/or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) – 433A license required.
Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP.
Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability
You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills
You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience troubleshooting mechanical/pneumatic/electrical pumps and valves
NICE-TO-HAVE
Computer skills would be an asset.
Experience working with a CMMS would be an asset
Familiar with continuous improvement processes and methodologies would be an asset.
THINGS YOU WILL DO…
Improve equipment performance and reliability.
Repair and maintain equipment (processors, homogenizers, pasteurizers, packaging, etc)
Lead local management of parts for projects and coordinate contractors’ activities as required.
Check shipments when they arrive and contact suppliers for any issues or inquiries
OTHER…
Must be flexible in terms of shift work and perform other duties as required.
Physically capable of performing the demands of the job.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Repair plant equipment efficiently to minimize downtime of operations (internal and external);
Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment.
Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement programs.
