Pace Processing is currently seeking Food Production Workers for our afternoon shift. This role is responsible for performing assigned tasks on a food production & packaging line in accordance with company procedures, food safety regulations, quality standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to teamwork and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble food products in accordance with SOPs and production standards
Accurately apply ingredients and toppings to ensure consistency and quality
Load ingredients into machinery as instructed
Inspect products and remove damaged, defective, or non-conforming items
Rotate between production tasks as assigned to support operational needs
Operate equipment and machinery safely and in accordance with procedures
Follow all start-up, shut-down, and cleaning protocols
Sanitize machines, conveyors, and utensils
Immediately report equipment malfunctions or concerns
Comply with all Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Follow food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation standards at all times
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
Participate in inspections, audits, and quality checks as required
Remove all prohibited items (e.g., jewelry, nail polish) prior to entering production areas
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is considered an asset
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, physically demanding environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift between 15–25 kg
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned PM shifts
Comfortable working in cool or temperature-controlled environments
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
Surrey, BC V3S 8P7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
