Pickard Utility Services is a privately owned company with multiple offices across Ontario. We specialize in utility construction both underground & aerial in the communication and electrical fields. We offer a wide range of service in these fields including but not limited to Directional drilling, Plowing, Line construction, Rock drilling and Fibre splicing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Floating/Excavator/Rock Drill
Operate excavating equipment
Assist with road safety patrolling on site;
Complete accurately all work reports with company provided devices;
Regularly perform Health & Safety inspection of equipment and tools;
Maintain clean and secure work sites and vehicles;
Read and interpret plans or diagrams to meet the required specifications of scope of work;
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or crew leader;

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail;
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, as well as rural, isolated, and wilderness locations;




Ability to work with professionalism, interact politely with customers and the public, and demonstrate excellent work ethic;
Ability to work continually in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to frequently lift and carry 60+ lbs;
Ability to operate various equipment in a protected manner;
Must be a self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player;
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks;

Experience Required:
AZ License
General civil construction knowledge;
Excavator
Rock drilling is considered an asset.

Additional Requirements:
Min Valid Class AZ License with a clean driver’s abstract
